This is Nasreen Shaikh’s 19th year at Kent Gardens Elementary School. She is originally from Pakistan but moved to California in the early nineties. She later moved to Albany, New York with her husband in 1994 and raised her family of three children there. She has five grandchildren now, who all live in Virginia. Nasreen moved to Virginia in 2004 after completing her Master’s Degree in Special Education and started working at Kent Gardens. Nasreen has never worked in any other FCPS school and considers KG her other home. Nasreen has taught for forty years in different states and abroad, and she has taught all grade levels from kindergarten through high school. Nasreen likes to travel, cook, read, and exercise. Nasreen is excited about the new school year and cannot wait to meet her students.
