Amy Monell was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. She received her graduate and undergraduate degrees from Wesleyan, a private, liberal arts women’s college. Wesleyan was the first college in the world to grant degrees to women (YEAH!) Mrs. Monell has taught 25 years; 18 in kindergarten and 7 in first. Her husband, Tony, flew for the US Navy and has since moved into a 2nd career in cyber security, because college kids are expensive. Their daughter, Abbey, is headed to Colorado State University leaving her parents to ride the struggle bus. Please remember Mrs. Monell and all the parents who just became empty nesters! P.S.
