Congratulations to Ms. Patience Galvan on her recognition as the May 2023 FCPS CARES Region 2 Recipient of the Month, presented by the FCPS Department of Human Resources.

Below is the write-up submitted by a Kent Gardens Elementary School parent.
On the day my daughter's class was scheduled to go to the book fair, she got distracted and missed the announcement for kids to head to the fair to pick out their books. When she realized she had missed it, she was very disappointed, and Mrs. Galvan made sure she had the opportunity to go. However, it was too late when she arrived, and the fair had already closed. Mrs. Galvan very kindly allowed our daughter to pick out a few books from her personal class library so that she wouldn't be so disappointed. This is one example of the many ways that Mrs. Galvan treats her students so kindly and makes a major difference in their (and our) lives! She is so wonderful and appreciated.
