Richard Gordon hails from Adelaide, Australia (Go Crows). He arrived in the U.S. on an Australian government posting in 1993 and settled permanently in Arlington in 1997. Undertaking a career change, he obtained a Masters in Education K-8 and since 2001 has been teaching language arts and social studies at Kent Gardens. At a rough calculation, 1,060 students have passed through his classroom. His 2 daughters, Stephanie and Suzannah, have established themselves in successful careers (interspersed with biking, hiking, marathons, rock climbing, and white water rafting) in Boulder, Colorado.
