Dominique Otterson is starting her 18th year at Kent Gardens. She has taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades Math and Science in the Immersion program. She grew up in Dijon, France. She received her Teacher Certification in French PreK-12 from UVA. She also completed her Primary Education Certification. She is an enthusiastic and caring teacher. She maintains a climate of trust and teamwork and her students work in a positive and safe environment. She feels movement is an important part of learning and incorporates it into her teaching methods whenever she can. She is very excited to start a new year in  1^st grade. Her hobbies include rock-climbing, riding her bike, walking, yoga, and cooking scrumptious meals for friends and family.
